The learning objective that I would like to work on the most for this essay is number two. I still sometimes struggle with finding relevant quotes that will properly back up my ideas and support my thesis. My goal is to have a strong number of important quotes that support my claims and help with the flow of my paper. I plan to revisit the texts read in class to get a stronger feel for them, and find more quotes that will help my paper out. Like mentioned in my learning log, I will use the quotes as explanations of my ideas, instead of their own separate ideas like I would do in prior work.
On top of this learning objective, my revision strategy for my paper is to incorporate all of the comments given to me in peer review. Once I have edited my paper with these comments, I will work to find any more ideas and claims if needed to support my thesis. I will again use strong quotes to back up these claims. I will also check to make sure I didn’t repeat any of the mistakes I made that my peers commented on.
If I achieve these goals, my paper will flow together with strong ideas to back up my thesis throughout.
